Motorcycle road racing has returned to Ireland for the first time in four years after difficulties securing insurance brought the sport to a halt in 2022.
Leading Irish Kevin Keyes says competitors understand the risks involved in road racing and accepts that danger is part of the sport.
“That’s obviously the heartache end of it, and it’s the unfortunate part. Motorsport has it, boxing has it, rugby has it, football has it. But we sort of just try not to think of it,” he said.
