▶︎▶︎ Lewis Hamilton is going to test a Ferrari car before the official launch despite Mercedes blocking his move and not allowing him to do what the Maranello team did to Ferrari—let him test the new machinery after the Abu Dhabi finale. That didn’t stop Ferrari from thinking about the long game here, as they’ve now even chosen the car with which Hamilton will ‘debut’ with the Italian team—but will he need tons of acclimatization time and if not, will he blend in naturally and show Mercedes that they’ve missed a lot when they didn’t want to commit on a longer-term basis with Hamilton?
