Lewis Hamilton has requested Formula 1 consider “adapting” the current set of regulations in order to open the door for other teams to catch up with Red Bull. The race pace advantage is such that they look set to threaten Mercedes’ 2014 season. Such a historical precedent does exist, but F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali recently denied that the FIA will take any such action.
